I just got my new (??) FM56-PX this afternoon but it isn't displaying CID on screen. I loaded the XP driver from the accompanying CD as soon as I installed it. Voice works, but all incoming calls are displayed as N/A.

Ideas anyone..???

Highly doubt you're going to find support for this here. Doubt any of the more knowledgeable regulars are using a modem for anything. The card came with a manual, read it.

It's being used with telephone-answering/call-blocking s/w. CID is critical. This unit should do it out of the box. The Conexant D850 does CID fine but isn't a Voice Modem. I only bought this one because it's supposed to do both voice "and" CID.

There's diddley in the on-CD manual...a few AT commands and some S registers defined. I've check it with other CID software, it works with none of them. I probably got a defective,or returned, unit.

Maybe a knowlegable person will stumble across this....thanks anyway. :)

It works if you use the Faxtalk software on the disk, IF you put "+VCID=1" in the "CallerID modem initialization string" box. Same string for other software, if it has somewher to input it.
